Prognosis is a single-player 2D digital game that uses the genre of “god" games to introduce youth to city-level health systems and health careers. The game situates the player as a major city official of Metroville and asks them to manage city finances, education levels, and, most importantly, health concerns. In each neighborhood, the player negotiates three primary health statistics: the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections, teen pregnancy incidence, and community health factors.

The Game Changer Chicago Design Lab team is in the process of developing a prototype of Prognosis and building a high school health curriculum to accompany the game.
